About Jenny Cornelis

JennyCornelis - Personal Development Expert

What brought me to Catusco?

For years, I worked as a translator. A job I was quite good at and enjoyed. Yet, something felt missing; it wasn't bringing me the fulfillment I longed for. When I took an MBTI course and delved deeper into it, I understood what was going on. I recognized myself less and less as an introvert, which I had always assumed, given my rather lonely job. I had just discovered that I'm a people person and need connection with others to feel energized. A world of personal growth opened up for me. The desire to work as a trainer/coach surfaced. I continued my training to fulfill that dream, and in 2011, I founded Catusco.

Investing in personal development has a huge impact. I've experienced this firsthand, and I see it happen time and again with participants. When you get to know and understand yourself better, you feel better about yourself and can use your unique energy and talents to perform better and experience greater satisfaction. I wish this for everyone, including you and your team!

I believe human potential is invaluable, especially in the business world. Changes are occurring rapidly, demanding flexibility and agility from all employees. It pays to focus on personal development and reflect on key questions like: Who am I, and what gives me energy and fulfillment? How can I communicate more effectively and deliver my message in a way that others can receive? How can I lead successfully and bring out the best in others? How can the team collaborate better and strengthen each other to achieve impressive results?

Why 'Catusco'?

In Latin, Catus stands for intellect. As an intelligent person, you use your mind to think and make conscious choices. These choices work best when they align with your feelings, your inner values, and your compass. Feelings and intellect work together. Translating this into concrete behavior is the next step.

Co stands for communication, collaboration, colleagues, ... Words that I, as Cornelis, hold in high regard.

Who am I in my free time?

Even outside of work, I thrive on connection and enjoy surrounding myself with the special people in my life. I live with my son, Steven, in Braine-l'Alleud. I regularly meet my friends in various locations, and that often leads to deep conversations. To find peace and quiet, I take my hiking boots into nature, go dancing, or curl up on the couch with a captivating book. Fun is my priority, and I thoroughly enjoy various cultural and culinary activities.
